Selling LEGO®:

How do I get paid?

When you decide to sell us your items we want to get you paid as quickly as possible! Because of this we offer two payment methods:

For sold items we aim to check LEGO® sets within three days of us receiving them and two days for loose LEGO®. Once your items have been checked to make sure they are as described payment will be sent using your preferred payment method. 

How much do you pay per KG?

The rate we pay changes regularly depending on our demand. We recommend you check our "Sell your LEGO®" form for the current rates we pay. 

When will I get paid?

We send payment as soon as we have checked your items using your preferred payment method.

Want to get paid sooner? Unlike some other companies we can even pay you BEFORE you send any items (This is dependent on the items you are selling and the method of payment)

What's the process for selling loose LEGO®?

It's a really easy five step process! 

  1. Fill out our "sell your LEGO®" form (This can be found here).
  2. Wait for us to send you a pre-paid postage label.
  3. Package your items well and drop them off at your local Post Office®.
  4. Once the items have been delivered to us (usually within two working days after dispatch) we will check you items to make sure everything is as described.
  5. After the items have been checked by our team, you will be emailed confirming the price we will pay. If you choose to accept payment will be made by the end of that very day! (If you choose to reject our offer you will have to pay shipping costs to have your items returned. This will be calculated from the weight of what needs to be returned) 

Please note that during particularly busy periods such as public holidays it may take a little longer to process your LEGO®.

What's the process for selling LEGO® sets? 

It's just as easy in as many steps!

  1. Email us directly at help@brickbin.co.uk with some details, a list and pictures of your sets 
  2. We will get back to you with an offer or if we need any additional information as soon as possible! 
  3. Package your sets well and post them to us. 
  4. Once we have received your package you will be emailed notifying you of this and we will begin checking your items (this can take up to three days) 
  5. After the items have been checked by our team, you will be emailed notifying you that we are happy with what we received (or if there are any issues that need to be addressed) and payment will be sent the same day! (Payment could even be BEFORE you send any items! This is dependent on the items you are looking to sell and what payment method you choose).

Please note that we may not cover the cost of postage to us if you are selling sets. Again, this is dependent on what items and how much you have to sell. Please check with us beforehand. 

Why don't you offer a free postage label for selling LEGO® sets?

Unfortunately due to the various sizes and weights of selling LEGO® sets it becomes very difficult for us to estimate how many boxes and shipping labels will be required and would severely effect the prices we would be able to offer. This is why in most cases we find it best to let you pick and choose you own courier for delivery. 

If you are looking to sell some LEGO® sets to us we recommend checking courier comparison sites such as parcel2go.com as booking the consignment through them can be considerably cheaper than booking through the courier directly. You also have the choice of having the package collected directly from your home or being bale to drop it off at a local parcelshop.

I'm local, can I drop my items off myself?

We're really sorry but we are not optimised for loose LEGO® to be dropped off personally. Please use our free shipping service to send in loose LEGO®. For sets, collections or other items again, we recommend shipping the items in, however in rare occurrences we may accept local drop off. 

Do you accept clone brands such as Cobi, Megabloks etc 

No. Unfortunately we only accept genuine LEGO® items in good condition. If you are sending us loose LEGO®, any non-LEGO® items we find will be removed and not counted towards your final weight. We strongly recommend you remove any non-LEGO® items before shipping. 

I'm not happy with the final value of my loose LEGO® how do I get it back?

If you are unhappy with the final value of your loose LEGO® due to us having to remove non-LEGO® items or you have simply changed your mind we will return everything you sent to us. Please note you will have to pay the return shipping which is calculated from the total weight of everything that need to be returned.
